Photographer Jason Lee Parry is defending his photoshoot with 16 year old model Hailey Clauson who filed a $28 million dollar lawsuit against Urban Outfitters stores because her image was used on a racy t-shirt.
The photographer under allegation, Jason Lee Parry, has released a statement about Hailey Clauson's lawsuit. He defends himself with the following points: the model's father was present, the photo in question was featured in Clauson's portfolio, seven people at the shoot ensured Clauson's privacy, there was no nudity in the image, and lastly, the T-shirt brand selected the image unbeknownst to the photographer. Parry's rep added:
Jason Lee Parry’s creative vision for the fashion photos in question is about a rebellious teenage girl hanging out at her father's motorcycle shop. The story captures the American working class, motorcycle culture, and highlights the designer clothing featured on the model. Teenage model Hailey Clauson has filed a $28 million lawsuit against retailer Urban Outfitters, alleging that a T-shirt bearing her image has damaged her reputation and her career.
The T-shirt in question is printed with a photograph taken of Clauson when she was just 15, perched atop a Honda motorcycle in a pair of teeny leather shorts, legs spread. Clauson, now 16, claims the "blatantly salacious" shot couldviolate child pornography laws.
